- Melanie
- I'm a mother of four, wife of one, homeschool teacher, and slightly discontent with where I find myself in life. Do these roles define me? Are they the ultimate means of finding fulfillment? I'm not convinced. Do my children and husband define who I am? Not really. I think Betty Friedan made some razor sharp observations of "the problem without a name" but sliced us and our children to pieces with the same edge. I'm afraid that while we in the Christian community have recoiled from the effects of feminism, we are now at risk of creating the same sets of problems for women that sparked the feminist movement of the 1960s. I hope to wrestle with some of these issues on this blog as I live life in a post-feminism culture, embrace a biblical view of womanhood and express love for my saviour, Jesus Christ.
